Drivers are inserting their debit cards into parking metres which then “swallows them”.
The scammers, who are waiting nearby, suggest they can help retrieve the card by fetching a key from their van.
Instead, they drive off, with pin card details and withdraw cash at a later date.
We’re being told that parking machines cannot “swallow” or retain bank cards.
