Mole Valley District Council was the most successful authority in the country for preventing homelessness at the beginning of last year.

That’s according to data published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.

Mole Valley’s housing team employs several strategies to prevent single people, couples and families from losing their property.

Its primary aim is to help people remain in their home by helping to resolve rent arrears and finding ways of managing debt.
