34 year old Trevelle Rowland was found guilty over the death of 35 year old Fergany Mvuezolo in East Ham in March 2024.
Police arrested Rowland at Heathrow the same day as the killing as he tried to flee the country, finding evidence linking him to the scene.
The court heard he had carried out a similar car attack on two security guards in Barking ten months earlier.
