People visiting the A&E department at Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals are being asked to wear a fluid resistant surgical mask.

The hospitals say they are seeing a very high number of people with respiratory illnesses seeking urgent care.

People are also being asked to only attend A&E if their problem is life threatening or severe.

Otherwise, you should attend your GP, pharmacy, Urgent Treatment Centre, or contact NHS 111 for advice and care.
