Police in Elmbridge say tackling burglary remains a key priority heading into the new year following an arrest in Feltham.

42-year-old Jamie Bryne, faces three charges linked to incidents on Vine Road in East Molesey in October.

Figures show that, on a rolling 12-month basis, burglary offences across Elmbridge have fallen by 20 per cent.

Police say they are determined to reduce the figure further.

Officers are urging residents to remain vigilant, warning that in most recent cases burglars have gained access through back gardens.
