Landlords in Wandsworth need to sign up to a new legally required licensing scheme.

It’s part of the council’s latest crackdown on unsafe rentals.

Since the launch, 444 inspections have taken place, resulting in 85 notices served to properties failing to meet safety standards.

Wandsworth council say landlords operating without suitable licences could face prosecution or fines of up to £30,000.
