Richmond station has won a national heritage award following its restoration.

The original building was designed by renowned architect James Robb Scott and opened in 1937.

The project, finished earlier this year, has returned the exterior façade, canopy and interior booking hall back to its Art Deco glory.

The project was a partnership between Richmond Council, South Western Railway and Network Rail.
