Part of Marks and Spencer in Richmond is to become a gym.

Bosses are planning to convert the store in George Street into food only on the ground floor, getting rid of the clothing section.

M&S’s profits were almost wiped out after it was hit by a cyber-attack earlier this year.

Its statutory profit before tax slumped 99% from £391.9 million to £3.4million for the first half of the year, compared with 2024.
