Emergency services attended the blaze on Bittams Lane and a 39-year-old from the area remains in custody.
He was also arrested for being in possession of an offensive weapon.
Surrey Police are investigating if the incident is linked to a similar report of a fire at Spinney Hill at around 11.30 on Thursday night.
