The fire broke out in the ducting of a single-storey takeaway restaurant and was brought under control by 4.12pm.
Crews from Wimbledon, Kingston, New Malden and nearby stations remained on scene for several hours tackling the fire.
There are no reports of any injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
