Bosses at St George’s Hospital are warning some non-urgent operations may be re-scheduled as Resident Doctors prepare to strike.

They will be taking industrial action in England from 7am on Friday to 7am next Wednesday.

The hospital in Tooting says it will continue to provide the full range of emergency, intensive and maternity care on these days.

However, some non-urgent operations and outpatient appointments may be re-scheduled.

All patients affected by the cancellations will be contacted by the trust. If you aren’t contacted, your operation or appointment will go ahead as planned.

If you are unsure or have any concerns, phone the number on your hospital letter and the relevant department will be able to advise you.
