Woking has the lowest percentage of smokers in the UK while Fenland in Cambridgeshire has the highest.

The data is from the Office for National Statistics.

The figures are based on the UK Annual Population Survey of adults aged 18 and over over the period 2020 to 2024.

The percentage of smokers stands at 4.2 in Woking with Epsom and Ewell recorded at 4.8 which is a drop of 2.1% on the previous 5 years.

The percentage of smokers in Richmond stands at 6.3 which is a slight increase on previous years.

Kingston has seen a drop of smokers at 0.3% and Croydon has seen no change over the past decade with a percentage rate of at 12.5.

It’s also been revealed the number of people in Britain who vape is now higher than the number using cigarettes.
