The next phase of a new specialist educational needs centre in Twickenham has been reached with a “topping out” ceremony.

77 places are bring created for children at the Clarendon School Satellite centre.

All of the youngsters have moderate learning difficulties and complex needs, including autism.

The council says the new centre will reduce the need for out-of-borough placements and help children learn closer to home.
