The Treasury Committee says avoiding risk would prevent the fund from unlocking private money for clean energy and other sectors.
MP for Carshalton and Wallington, Bobby Dean, and MP for Mitcham and Morden, Siobhain McDonagh, are among the committee.
It says ministers must stay out of day-to-day decisions to maintain investors’ confidence.
