After only one point from their opening four World Cup qualifying matches, Jon Dahl Tomasson was sacked last week.
The former West Ham and Chelsea head coach has said he wants help “the team deliver at the highest level to take Sweden to the World Cup next summer.”
The move comes just 24 days after he was sacked by the east London club.
