The blaze broke out at a semi-detached, two-storey property in Lewis Road just after 8am.
A small part of the roof of the next-door house was also damaged in the fire alongside most of a car parked at the front of the property.
London Fire Brigade took 26 calls to the blaze which is under investigation.
