It’s green lit a new four-year action plan detailing how the authority and NHS will work together to drive down death rates.
It includes improving access to mental health care and supporting responsible media coverage of suicide.
There were 60 recorded suicide deaths in Croydon between 2021 and 2023 which is a 29% reduction compared to 2018 to 2020.
