Smith penalty gives Quins narrow lead at half-time at Twickenham Stoop

The London Derby is in full swing at the Twickenham Stoop.

Both Harlequins and Saracens named strong teams with the return of their international players from the British & Irish Lions Tour.

Quins’ fly-half Marcus Smith opened the scoring, converting his own try after 7 minutes.  He thought he had scored a brace before the referee ruled ‘no try’.

Saracens came back with a converted try (Burke & Farrell) after 28 minutes.   Smith, however, had the final say adding a penalty just 5-minutes later.

A tense game at Twickenham Stoop and after 40-minutes its Harlequins 10 – 7 Saracens.
