The team behind Twickenham Stadium says it is “saddened to learn Lewis Moody has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.”

The former England rugby union captain and 2003 World Cup winner says he is “focused on staying positive and living life”.

Twickenham is encouraging people to show their support for the 47 year old through the fundraising initiatives now being set up.

Fellow rugby players Doddie Weir and Rob Burrow have died from M-N-D in recent years.
