It’s understood a planning application for the gas works redevelopment in Motspur Park has been submitted.

Developer, Berkeley Homes, wants to build around 650 new homes on the site.

However, a resident’s group wants the land turned into a nature reserve.

The site encompasses Sutton, Kingston and Merton, although the planning application will be decided by Kingston Council.

An online presentation of the application will be made on October the 15th.
