Practices must keep their websites and app services available from at least 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.
They should be available for non-urgent appointments, medication queries and admin requests.
Nick Merrifield, the lead GP at Holmwood Corner surgery in New Malden, says the idea is to free up face to face appointments.
