Five-year-old Mabel Stevenson, from Surbiton, has started a new school year, just four months after completing treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Mabel’s mum, Celine, came to meet reporter Rebekah Scamp at the Radio Jackie studios to talk about how a young cancer diagnosis not only affects the child, but the whole family.
Celine was joined by Momentum Children’s Charity CEO, Sarah Woods, who spoke about how the charity based in East Molesey, is there to support families with ill children through the hardest of times.
