Alaa Abd El-Fattah has been behind bars for nearly six years, accused of ‘spreading false news’.
He’d been one of the leading voices during protests in 2011 as part of the Arab Spring.
It’s not clear when he’ll be freed.
His mother, 69 year old Laila Soueif from Streatham, recently went on strike for 8 months in a bid to have her son released.
