The council says levels of the dangerous pollutant nitrogen dioxide have dropped across the borough.
Known as NO2, it is primarily caused by vehicle engines and commercial and residential fossil fuel heating systems.
Monitoring sites including Clapham Junction and Tooting High Street have all recorded falling levels over the last year.
They meet “UK air quality objectives.”
