
Police were called just before 6pm on Monday, the 16th of June following reports a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on the number 235 bus travelling from Hounslow to Sunbury.
The incident allegedly happened as the bus was near the Treaty Shopping Centre.
The bus driver reported to police a passenger had rubbed his crotch against the girl at around 5.10pm that day before he got off the bus at Feltham.
The man they are wanting to speak to has been described as having dark hair, wearing sunglasses, a light-coloured t-shirt with a print on the back, cream-coloured shorts and a black backpack.
PC Stephanie Gillard from the Met’s Roads & Transport Policing team, said:
“This is a highly disturbing incident for a young woman to go through.
“Women should be able to travel alone without fear and we are dedicated to protecting women and girls.
“We are carrying out enquiries and are supporting the victim as best as we can, but we now need your help.
“If you were on the 235 bus route that day or have any mobile phone footage from around the time the victim boarded the bus at 16:59hrs, then please call the police.
“If anyone recognises the man in the image please contact us on 101 quoting the reference 01/7623474/25.”
