Kingston Council has launched its fourth Sustainable September to help residents make their homes more energy-efficient and cut bills.

With record heat this year and the driest spring in 100 years, half of the borough’s emissions come from older homes.

Cllr Ian Manders says small fixes like draught-proofing help, while insulation or new boilers make a bigger impact.

The council is sharing tips online and running local events to help residents live greener and save money.
