But one man in Sutton has been trying for years to raise awareness of Parkinson’s, the progressive neurological condition which has no cure.

Arthur Hookway is the chairman of the Sutton, Kingston and Epsom branch of Parkinson’s UK.

He’s welcoming news Sutton’s councillors have unanimously agreed a series of measures to support residents living with the disease and to officially mark World Parkinson’s Day next April, the 11th.
