Kensington and Chelsea Council says more than 100 staff will be on hand at this weekend’s Notting Hill Carnival.

They will be in charge of managing road closures, parking restrictions and maintaining public safety.

More than 250 street traders have been approved to operate, and the event will also feature a Youth Safe Zone for under 19s.

There have been calls to move Carnival into an enclosed space following last year’s event which saw eight stabbings and two deaths.
