People living in Kingston are being warned that putting rubbish out on the wrong day will be treated as fly tipping.

Residents are being urged by the council to make sure they know when to put their recycling out for collection.

There are strict rules on days and times rubbish can be left out and how close it can be placed to the pavement boundary.

The ability for councils to increase the maximum fly-tipping fine from £400 to £1,000 was granted in 2023.
