Animal beatings have risen by a massive 80% in Surrey.

That’s according to charity, RSPCA, which has released the figures as part of its Summer Cruelty Campaign.

Reports of beatings during the summer months in the county stood at 26 in 2020 and 47 last year.

There has also been a 105% rise in reports during the warmer months in England and Wales over the last four years.
