Wandsworth Council says it is committed to making improvements despite “the historical challenges” it faces.
Bosses say a revised and significantly enhanced masterplan is now nearing a decisive stage.
It includes an increase in the amount of genuinely affordable homes that will be built there and a brand new shopping parade.
