A “no-mow” initiative is being trialled around Ham Pond to help wildlife thrive.
It’s hoped the longer grass will provide food for birds such as grazing waterfowl through an increased number of grass seeds and insects.
The council says that paths will still be maintained to allow for pedestrian access.
