Joanne Sexton is appealing for a response to her two previous letters regarding asylum accommodation at the Stanwell Hotel.
The site has been housing women and children but the Government department wants to change that to male asylum seekers only.
Ms Sexton says she’s “deeply concerned for the safety of the surrounding community and potential for protests.
She’s asking Dame Angela Eagle to give the matter urgent attention and engage with the council.
The letter comes just days after council bosses said the Home Office was engaging with them over the matter.
