30-year-old Dr Dinith Ranaweera has undertaken various degrees in that time including a Masters in Structural Design.
He was one of the first students to be part of Kingston’s civil engineering top up programme, taught at a university in Sri Lanka.
The partnership between the two institutions launched in 2012 and has seen around 3,000 students graduate since then.
