The cyclist was approached by a group in a black VW Golf on St Michael’s Road at around 4:30pm on Wednesday the 6th of August.
They followed the cyclist to Fontmell Park, where one passenger got out, tackled him, and fled on the stolen e-bike.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and contact them on 101.
