The 57-year-old has ‘enhanced prisoner’ status at HMP Frankland giving him cooked breakfast on Saturdays and extra money each week for snacks.
Bellfield was jailed in 2011 for the murders of Walton schoolgirl Millie Dowler, Marsha McDonnell from Hampton and French student Amelie Delagrange whose body was found in Twickenham Green.
A source said, “it just doesn’t feel quite right”.
The Ministry of Justice said, “Bellfield will rightly spend the rest of his life in jail.”
