That’s according to John Lyon’s Charity which helps families by funding free and cost-effective holiday activities.
New research by the charity shows that more than 40% of parents agree that both holiday and activity hunger are major challenges during school breaks.
John Lyon’s offers grants to nine London boroughs including Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.
It has handed out £230 million to a large range of services, including youth clubs, arts projects and parental support schemes since 1991.
