Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a fire at a flat conversion in Kensington this afternoon.

London Fire Brigade were called to the blaze on Lexham Gardens at 12:31pm where part of a flat on the building’s fifth floor was alight.

Two people were treated on scene by the London Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation and crews had the fire under control by 2:21pm.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Team.
