Christmas Day might not be over yet, but we’re already being asked to donate our real trees to charity.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices in Hampton and Guildford have announced the return of their collection service for a third year.

Volunteers will collect your real Christmas tree in January, take it away, and recycle it for you in return for a donation.

The hospices are working in partnership with JustHelping charity.

Shooting Star will receive 90% of the money raised, with the other 10% distributed to other charities across South-West London and Surrey.
