Croydon Council has approved planning permission for a new padel tennis venue near East Croydon Station.
The site, in Addiscombe Road, has been vacant since 2015 and was previously occupied by a Royal Mail delivery office.
The planning approval has been granted to Rocket Padel, for 10 years, to transform the unused site into a vibrant sporting hub.
Padel tennis is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis and squash.
