A National Grid transformer weighing “the equivalent of 25 African elephants” will be driven to Weybridge this weekend.

It’s part of improvement works at the West Weybridge substation.

A convoy travelling under 12mph will make its way along the M25 from Essex tonight under police escort.

It’s due to arrive in the early hours of tomorrow.
