Five schools in Croydon are set to benefit from next week’s budget as the Chancellor pledges £1.4 billion for ‘crumbling’ classrooms.

It represents a £550 million increasing in funding for the Schools Refurbishment Programme compared to last year.

Thomas More Catholic School, All Saints CofE Primary, and The Minster Nursey, Infants and Junior Schools are all on the programme.

Forest Academy in Shirley was added to the investment scheme in July 2021, refurbishment is yet to take place on all 5 sites.
