The Met Police says its officers are stepping up efforts to protect people in Croydon against robbery, pick pocketing and theft.

They have intensified efforts to tackle these issues with a focus on CCTV and an increase of officers in robbery hotspots.

Neighbourhood police are encouraging victims to report robberies as they happen to allow for a “quick time” investigation.

Plain clothes officers have also been patrolling Croydon’s streets to identify any suspicious behaviour and make arrests.
