Zac Goldsmith has been unveiled as a “climate champion” alongside the likes of actor, Leonardo DiCaprio and Greta Thunberg.
The Independent Climate 100 List celebrates the world’s leading environmentalists.
Mr Goldsmith, the former MP for Richmond Park, was chosen for his work championing the UK’s ban on ivory sales.
He resigned from his role as Climate Minister in the Tory Government after accusing Rishi Sunak of being ‘uninterested’ in the environment.
