Residents in areas served by the Cheam Treatment works are experiencing increased water hardness.

SES Water has acknowledged that repairs to the softening system are taking longer than anticipated.

It is assuring customers that the increased water hardness poses no health risks, but it may result in noticeable changes in usage.

The current repairs have been deemed necessary and are expected to last until the end of October.
