Police in Hounslow say they have seen an increase in motor vehicle theft.

Officers say they have noticed an increase in theft of the Toyota RAV 4 in particular.

Thieves use a scanner to locate the signal from electronic keys inside to steal vehicles.

Police advise keeping car keys in a secure faraday pouch when not in use and to use a steering wheel lock for an extra deterrent.
