Plans have been drawn up, at the request of residents, to install a zebra crossing on a busy road in Morden.

A proposal has been put forward for the new crossing outside South Merton station.

There is currently an island crossing on the site, which the council says is heavily used by pedestrians.

Detailed designs for the zebra crossing are being drawn up and will be subject to an independent safety audit.
