The council says this applies to those born between April 2008 and March 2018.

This year’s annual report from the Council’s Director of Public Health is focusing on the issue of childhood vaccination.

Called Moving the Mountain, it looks at the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccination programmes.

The report recommends immunisation providers exploring with parents the reasons for vaccination refusal.

They should also ensure that parents are provided clear, authoritative,
and up-to-date information about the vaccine in a range of formats.

Vaccine counselling should also be considered for the parents who still refuse to get their children immunised.
