Great Britain have won their first rowing gold of the Paris Olympics with an incredible victory in the women’s quadruple sculls.

Richmond’s Lola Anderson with teammates Lauren Henry, Hannah Scott and Georgie Brayshaw claimed the title in the closing seconds.

They pipped the Netherlands on the finish line to snatch gold.

The men’s line-up narrowly missed out on a medal as they ended up fourth.
