Two prominent MPs – both former government ministers overseeing the Post Office – are being questioned at the Horizon IT inquiry later.

Labour’s Pat McFadden was previously Postal Affairs Minister, and Sir Ed Davey, now Lib Dem leader, also had that post.

They’ll be asked about bugs with the Horizon system, which led sub-postmasters being wrongly convicted of fraud.

In April, the MP for Kingston and Surbiton, Sir Ed, told us he was deliberately deceived about the problems.
